Documentary: Aiginio "The town of storks" Trailer 4Κ

Aiginio, a beautiful town in Northern Pieria situated between Katerini and Thessaloniki, has the privilege of hosting one of nature's most impressive creatures every year: the storks.

From March to August, approximately 60 pairs of storks choose this unique location—rich in natural resources and home to a distinctive wetland—to live, mate, and raise their young. As permanent residents of Aiginio and nature enthusiasts, we strive—with the support of the Municipal Authorities of Pydna-Kolindros and the Professional Association of Northern Pieria—to make their stay as comfortable and safe as possible.

Our goal is to introduce the wonderful world of storks to people of all ages through a documentary. This film will showcase the storks' entire life cycle, as well as the environmental challenges they face due to human presence. By doing so, we hope to inspire love for these charming birds, raise environmental awareness, and foster an ecological conscience in an era marked by the reckless depletion of our natural world.
